Enfield Revolvers

As someone who has always had an interest in WW2 and the weapons used I am curious about the Enfield tanker revolvers that are for sale by Marstar.

Is it possible that some of these revolvers would have been produced during wartime or are they post 1945? Is the wood grip preferable over the plastic grip?

The ones with the hammer bobbed are the tanker model and are double action only. The large majority of these revolvers were converted to da only. They were all produced before and during WWII, mostly at Enfield, but some at Albion and I believe a couple hundred in Australia.

The wood grips are earlier grips, and while most have been refurbed they can be a hint as to the age of the revolver, as generally older ones will have the old style wood grips, and newer ones the bakelite (though not always). If you're used to shooting a modern double action revolver, the enfield will quite likely be the most uncomfortable revolver you've ever fired.
