"Sure Shot vs Tannerite vs Thundershot" - a video comparison by The Hunting Gear Guy

Thanks to Adriel at The Hunting Gear Guy for this fantastic comparison video. What do you folks think, do you agree with his conclusion?

I find it basically correct having used all 3, though I don't find it fair that he didn't use the mixing container that Tannerite provides, then rates it lower. With the container I find it easier than both of the others. There is a new one that kabooms all 3 out of the water.

I'd say that Tannerite is the least desirable. Between the other 2, it really comes down to price and availability, as they are very close in performance.

There's still material transfer, tapping the container to get it all in, etc with Tannerite while there's no material transfer with Thundershot because it all stays in the original container. I know it's a small thing, but on a windy day I had grey aluminum powder all over my hands from mixing and moving material between containers.

You dump the white pellets in the mixing container. From there there is no difference putting the aluminium in the mixing container or the Thundershot container. Open bag... Pour in and shake. Then another pour back to original container. The problem I have is if you are doing a fair review, but don't use the method provided by the manufacturer, then mix it in another manufacturers provided container (which will cross contaminate the Tannerite provided materiels) that's not a fair comparison.

I'm not sure how mixing it in a different container is going to make much of a difference. At the end of the day, it's still the manufacturer's own ammonium nitrate being coated in their own aluminium powder.

It doesn't for the boom. Did you watch the video? The reviewer makes it a big deal that one is better for mixing than the others but doesn't use what the manufacturer provides to do the mixing. Compare apples to apples.

I use a 1L screw top jar. Dump in the stuff, shake a few times and dump it back into container. Easy and clean. Put plastic jar away for next time.
