Why do you think Canada provides so big support to Ukraine? Just do not tell because their grandma was "ukee" and cooked borsh. Canada afraid to stay along in future conflict with Russia for North and Arctic. Where Canada does not have population and troops but Russia does: powerful icebreaker fleet, arctic special forces brigades and a lots of populations ready to go and settle in the north territories - just bring there couple trucks of vodka and they will move there voluntarily. So it's time start preparation to fight or learn Russian language to great Russian world.

Lets face it Ukraine military lost campaign in the Donbass it was a military disaster for Ukraine. Only draw of the conflict was a Sloviansk which was more a symbol for Russia then a withdrawal. The rest of the engagements of the conflict were all major defeats of Ukrainian military.
Second part of energy suffocation was cutting of Russian gas supply now Europe has to supply that gas on credit to Ukraine at 4 times the cost. The decision by Russia not to finish off Ukraine in winter of 2015 was a cold calculated maneuver they simply decided to let it root for 1 to 4 years then they can finish it off in one sweep. If Ukraine even survives as a country which is highly doubtful it will be only small western Ukrainian enclave minus sub carpathian region. The wester Ukrainian enclave has a dubious nick name in European ruling circles it is called a "Toxic Asset" part of Europe that is neither wanted by Poland or Russia due to its inherent poverty and population with bloody history

Simple let the root and finish the rest when they devour themselves first
Add here cynicism, filth, meanness, low price of human life during the action and you will get the worth enemy in the World.

    Well,
How do you know it was captured but not owned by Ukraine?
Everything they have weapon wise, was produced in USSR or Russia. Please don't use this as an argument, it's rubbish

The stuff Ukrainian Forces are capturing, from 100-series AKs to modern versions of T-72 tanks was never produced in the USSR or available in Ukraine at all. And, please, spare the talk of crafty rebels modernizing/rebuilding those tanks at the former Ukrainian military plants they've captured or just getting everything at the arsenals they've captured.

The war is fought by Russia against Ukraine in the dirtiest way possible, and Russians being ready to die there for nothing but a very modest salary and accept the fact that they could be buried as an "unknown male body" with their relatives denying their very existence is absolutely disgusting.

I sincerely urge everyone who still naively believes this is a civil war to do their research and compare the situation in areas still under control of pro-Russian rebels, with areas that have been recaptured by the Ukrainians and finally areas that always remained under Ukrainian control.

    BS

I am yet to see a single new weapon, e.g. modern T72 not available in Ukraine or new AK that was not present or previously imported into Ukraine. Not a single picture or satelite image. Want to see real Russian supply, see Syria pictures: lots of satelite images of high quality, tons of pictures, current equipment, e.g. T90 tanks, not T72 from 1970s.

200 Modern T 72 were transferred to Ukraine in September of 2014 to fill lose of tanks during Ukrainian defeat at Ilovaysk cauldron and and the August 2014 battle of souther Donbas where Ukrainian army was decisively defeated. Another 300 Modern T 72 were transferred in late November from Hungary. Most of this T 72 were captured by the Donbass Forces from Ukrainian forces during their series of defeats in winter of 2015 mainly battle of Debalcevo that was not a planed withdrawal but complete rout. Present Ukrainian borders are just administrative borders within former Soviet Union they are not ethnic borders. Ethnic Ukraine is at its best up to Symortych river basically former Austria-Hungary the rest with Kiev should be Russian Empire. Ukrainian nationalist should stop dreaming. Don't support the oligarchs that rule there 90% of them are not even Ukrainian they are bloody Soviets. Ukrainian seems like a leftover historical part of Yeltsin's cheese times Russia. Its time in a present form passed. If Ukrainian people want to survive even as a small country now it is time to think about Halichyna nothing else
