Shot this fellow near Killarney Provincial Park on Saturday. Typical thick Ontario bush. Range was about 60 yards when he trotted into the "clearing" from the right. Hit him with a 350 grain Hornady flat nose ahead of a near max charge of H4198 out of my .45-70. Bullet passed through both lungs, and exited just behind the right shoulder. He went about another 60 yards before dropping like a stone where you see him in the picture.
Look to your front! Mark your target when it comes.

Here is a good one from a duck hunt this October. Still morning but the birds were moving. No dog so I get to retrieve my own birds, luckily this pond is three feet at the deepest.
