Cool eh? Bison with an XCR - probably a first?? Would love to know what load was used on it too.

There is a limited entry draw for Bison in the Peace Region of British Columbia. Not sure about other provinces.

I used Hornady Superformance SST 165gr. Same thing I used for bear this season.

Went on a hunt in the US for the Bison.

Soooo tasty.

2016 hunt with a couple of guys I don't get to see very often these days. My brother in laws first hunting trip ever so it was pretty memorable. My brother shot the bull on his way back to camp at the end of the first day, about half hour before dark from the roadside. The bull made it about 100 yards into the bush before meeting his end. Things were going pretty good until the wolves started closing in on us howling in the pitch black dark. Not that the wolves were really going to bother us, but panic set in anyways and made it pretty interesting. What should have taken a couple of hours probably stretched out into 5-6.
