Show Us Your Game!

Scott and a nice Blesbok ram taken in the Waterberg Mountains in the RSA circa 2008.

Hi Guys,

It's back! The "Show Us Your Game" photo contest is back for the 2016 season! The contest will run from Sept 1st, 2016 to Dec 10th, 2016. This year there are more prizes to accommodate the wide range of photo's we receive. The prizes are all listed below.

Remember, this is a photo contest - brought to you by International Shooting Supplies Ltd. and the distributors and manufacturers that make our industry tick! Pictures should be of any of the game you've taken over the past few years or during the current season as we will run the contest into December. Photos can also profile some of the country you hunt as the goal is to make the rest of us wish we'd been there with you. Game pictured can be anything legally harvested during a lawful hunting season and pics should be in good taste. Anything that is excessively gory (or just plain weird) will be deleted. Pics can be submitted here in this thread for the world to see or they can be emailed to us at sales@internationalshootingsupplies.com.

Judging is completely arbitrary and based on how badly you can make us want to be there with you. It will be carried out by myself and the management here at ISS.

As usual, winners will be contacted via PM or email - depending how you submitted your pics. So strap on your boots and get your camera's ready. It's almost time!

Regards,
Scott & the Staff

Hunting chukars near Kamloops lake a few days ago, saw close to 100 birds and I got my limit. We also saw a couple full curl bighorns staking their claim over their ladies. It was great until I fell on some cactus then fell off some rocks. one of the most challenging upland hunts I've been on.

43 Lbs female eastern Coyote. Female came in first to a pup distress, shot was made at 80yards. Male came in just as I pulled the trigger……..and missed that shot. Rifle is a Tikka Varmint chambered in .22-250. Head shot with a 55gr vmax, as per the no gore rule I thought it better not to show that pic.
Scenery Pictures are the general area at different times throughout the year

That 8-points buck was my first deer on my first deer hunt! As pictured it weighted 100lbs, typical for the Anticosti island.

The semi-auto action probably saved the day and a lot of unnecessary pain.
I stalked it while it was eating grass in the marsh. As I got to 50/75m, it slowly reached the first trees. It bend again to eat hiding his front half behind long grass. Afraid to loose it in the bush, I took aim for the hidden chest. Struck it jumped ahead, stopped and look around to locate the threat. Without moving I quickly pulled a second shot in his eyes. It fell on the spot. I discovered the first bullet did hit the last rib, hitting no vital organ.

7.62x39, I compared three SP loads before the hunt.
Federal Fusion gave 2 MOA at 100yds and MFS gave 2.25 MOA at 100 yds. Sellier&Bellot was much less accurate in that XCR. I chose the MFS as I had it in stock. I found my points of aim at 100 yds (2"¼ grouping) and 200yds (5" grouping).
Terminal performance was very good.

Obviously not eligible for the contest but I have to share this. This is my sons first muley buck taken last season (he is 13 in the pic). First pic is of the deer - second is the hill he shot it on. 3 hour hike in 4 out with the meat and gear on our backs. It was a great day and a great first kill for the lad. He spotted it himself - made a stalk to close the distance to 200 yards from about 450 and killed the buck with one shot from his 06' at an elevation of about 6000 feet (high for the coastal region we are in). i was a proud dad!
