Scout Steyr never was equiped with a set trigger, but they have an awsome direct trigger adjustable from 2 to 4 pounds... JP.

wrong, it is an option and has been for many years.

no, you should note what the manual says about the direct trigger as well.

    6.2 Direct Trigger
    The weapon has been factory-set
    to optimal trigger characteristics.
    Thus, the shooter must not
    perform any changes or
    adjustments

If it's either loud, obnoxious, fast, hated by the general population or any combination of these, I OWN IT!!

The trigger can be swapped out to a set trigger. See Page 16.

Nicely done! Definitely a unique rifle to add to a collection. I'm not surprised that they went so fast... in truth, it seemed the price was pretty much in line with what a new Steyr Scout sells for when available in Canada, and I thought the limited release nature would have prompted a higher price point.

e.g. Reliable is listing the standard Scout for $2500 (http://www.reliablegun.com/js/steyr-...ve-iron-sights)

The Scout comes with the direct trigger witch is not user adjustable. As nearly all Steyr rifles, it can be retrofitted with the set trigger but there's no option straight from factory, the set trigger needs to be ordered separately.

It is an option and always has been, their own website confirms this.

I agree as an option but never was standard, both my Scouts came with the direct trigger, i called Steyr and they told me that Jeff Cooper while bullding the Scout wanted a non set trigger of 35 to 40 ounces as standard Scout configuration, i did try to buy one with a set trigger, no cigars i would had to do a special order... JP.
