Sig MCX - First Canadian Youtube teardown and review

I had an amazing opportunity offered to me by MD Charlton to have the MCX for a few days to review. Here is the video:

I really like the concept. Sig have something interesting here. Too bad the current folding stock is very uncomfortable and the trigger is garbage. Thankfully these are easy to fix.

First shipment will be at MD Charlton well before year end (so I'm told). MD Charlton is the Canadian distributor for Sig Sauer, so you can ask your local/favourite dealer to order one directly from them.

All that info was actually in the video.

Yes, the trigger is heavy, but I wouldn't necessarily call it "garbage". Probably on par from factory to other ARs, no? Regardless though, it is a mil-spec lower for the trigger, so as you said, easily replaceable for those that want a lighter trigger. Personally I have a Timney in my Stag Arms 2T, and it's awesome.

Unfortunately no, it cannot. Barrel swap no matter what the length wouldn't do it, as the RCMP has classified the lower/registered part of the MCX as an "AR/M16" variant. Bummer.

    Question

    - Does the 9 inch 300 blk will be available in the Canadian market? FDE? The caliber kit?
