Volquartsen Remington 597 hammer and extractor

Very pleased with my phone order I placed on Monday and received today! Super fast shipping and friendly service. I look forward to installing these parts to complete my rifle. Thanks again.
    New extractor not installed yet.

The Remington 597 is a great gun after they are set-up with mods that improve the reliability. You chose good mods for your rifle, they are accurate and worth the efforts to improve the functionality. I did the M*CARBO Trigger spring kit and this small mod did wonders. I also polished the OEM guides and OEM hammer and these simple mods helped as well.

Is this a muzzle break on a 22LR?

lol. This reminds me of the signature of one of the members on here. I'm not sure who exactly it was but it involved 22lr's, muzzle breaks, maxi pads and bras. HahHahahahHa.

It does look beautiful though. Good job. I have a 597 and love it too. I just don't get to shoot it much ever since I tasted 223rem.

Where did you order the parts from? Cost of parts? Shipping cost?

Sylvestres Sporting Goods in Bonnyville AB. Easiest way is to call and ask for Todd. Mitch can help you as well.

What was price and shipping cost to the wet (now freezing) coast?

Can't remember right now exactly what I paid, bought a bunch of gear while I was there. The parts are small, so shipping should be pretty cheap 5-10 bucks. Upgraded mine through them a couple of years ago, but I just dropped in and grabbed the parts as I was close by...

I also have the AAC model 597, did the MCARBO spring kit along with the Volquartsen hammer and extractor.
Super smoother trigger pull and passed the drop test!

My kids runs flawlessly after a new hammer and extractor puts all the 10/22's to shame when we are out shooting. Its too bad that Remington did not sell these guns with these simple parts!
