Linking email address to PAL for online purchases

Just recently received PAL, and looking to make my first purchase. I've read about the odd instance where the retailer couldn't ship the firearm to the purchaser because their email address was not "linked" to their PAL. Is this something I need to be aware of, and if so, does it need to be done manualy, or should the PAL already be related to the email address I initially used during the online application process?

I believe you call the CFP and add the email to your license account

Yupp call the CFP.

I thought maybe you can update it via Individual Web Services, but I just tried to access that and it required 2factor authentication with a code sent to the email on file. So looks like phonecall is the only option.

Quickupdate to this, seems my email address was already tied to the PAL I received, I didn't have to take any action. I applied online, so maybe only have to call and register email address if applying via mail.
