120ish, TVPP and you. Can't ask for a better Alta CGN representation!
Well the first too are pretty good company. I just bought my Tavor the day after I signed up for the course hahaha. I'm a newb.

And I just got back from the first 70 rounds of plinking and zeroing. I like this rifle.

How would you know?! We only met once when I was pretty fresh to the scene!

You can figure out a lot about a person by how they keep their cool.

    I'll be there!

Can anyone recommend a good hotel not too far from the range?

I heard the class had 12 people today, when I dropped in to CSC.

So that is myself, 120ish, mspben and 9 others. TVPP is going to be there but not as one of the enrolled tally.

There's a Travelodge right off Macloed that's probably less than 300 yards from the range: 7012 Macleod Trail South, Calgary, AB T2H 0L3, Canada

Ah haaaaah, yeah... It's going to be almost double that. Definitely more interest and faster signups than were initially expected. But the live fire portions will use a rotating squad system so we're not all touching butts in the back waiting to shoot.

    For anyone who missed it:

    Hello everyone!

This is your reminder email for the Zahal IDF Tavor Course this weekend! We're excited to arrive in Canada! We have a few reminders, announcements, and points to keep in mind.

Magazines: Lots of our drills are designed around 6-10 rounds at a time! We highly recommend you have at least one and preferably 3x beowulf magazines to shoot with. Calgary Shooting Centre just got a shipment of .50 Beowulf magazines this week, and will have some available for us at the course. They're $37 per mag, which is a pretty good deal if you've bought Beowulf in the past!
Water: We will be working hard! CSC has water fountains, but you definitely appreciate having a decent water bottle with you inside the range!
Zeroing: Please, please arrive with your rifle zeroed! Keep in mind that this is an indoor range, so we will be 25 yards and under. If you're zeroed for further distances, that's okay, we can help you adjust your point of aim. But please don't expect everyone to wait while you shoot, inspect groups, and adjust turrets!
Timings: We will kick off at 18:00 on Friday, and shouldn't be more than 2 hours. On the Saturday and Sunday we start at 9:00, be ready!
Food: There will be an hour's break for lunch each day, and there's lots of easy food around CSC (Dennys, Fatburger, Limmericks) We're also going to be going out for dinnerSaturday night! If you'd like to come out, have some drinks, and chat guns: let us know so we have an idea on how big a table to reserve.
T-Shirts: We will be giving out T-shirts at the course. Please email us your t-shirt Size.

Also: You do not need your rifle and gear Friday night. That's classtime! But if you bring it along we won't get mad
