The existing magwell will work with a .223 rifle, but for now Magpul does not make a magazine in .223. You would need an AICS mag. Mags in additional calibres are in the works.

The magazine wells are only compatible with short actions.

I have a Rem 700 SA Light Tactical in 6.8SPC with a blind mag Bell and Carlson stock so no bottom metal.

Are the bolt action mag well's for the HUNTER 700 stock available as well?

I'm sure glad I caught this post, as a retailer not on your list of authorized dealers just announced IN stock at 399.00.

I have one on hold at Wolverine for 300.00.

I can wait a few days to save a 100 bucks and get warranty support.
