I remember shooting .303 enfields at the (now defunct) Barnet range in Vancouver. Mention this to other shooters at my club (who have years on me) and they just laugh... Apparently shooting .22 Enfield is huge in cadets, as most of them fire air rifle. Shooting .303 in cadets is nearly un heard of these days apparently. I was disappointed, other than gliding/flying shooting .303 (and the occasional camping trip with Canadian armed forces) kept me coming back

Definitely a cool deal. Any shooters out there with/who know young kids? THIS is how you get them into shooting in my opinion. And the shooting mat is a GREAT deal IMO, kind of mad I paid much more for mine.

I was lucky enough to have been in cadets with not only no. 4's and 7's but also the C1! Our cadet corp had the only access to a large bore range so we received the ammo from the other corps. It was awesome.
Holy crap i would like no. 7 again!
Cadets is a great program.

Current rules allow for possibility of training with/on C7/C8 with support from local Militia/Army Reserve unit. Not so difficult for Army - they can still go to Connaught over the summer for large bore training. Air/Sea - possible to train locally.

getting close to that time of year. School is back and cadets are ramping up for. Most of the jacket sizes are in stock in right handed, only small sizes in left handed.

They are not produced any more. Your best bet would be getting a used one. We have been trying to get some parts for them for a long time, but did not have much luck. I thought they were getting close to the end of life for cadets, but that might be just a rumor. If you are looking for one, for yourself, there should be some on the used market.
