US version of the much anticipated IWI X95 in semi auto. It will be released in March 2016 in 13.5" barrel SBR format.

A rubber buttplate is shown in the range sample. There are green, tan and black options. Under the handguard cover is a set of 3 picatinny rails at 3,6 and 9 o'clock.

They've now got 3 QD mounts on each side of the rifle...

The rubber buttpad has been extended and squared compared to the IDF rifles.

The repositioned charging has a pseudo forward assist attached to it. I've been getting mixed signals as far as how this part actually works. Stay tuned.

The US MSRP on these is higher than the SAR-21. So it's safe to assume that if they did make it to Canada they be more expensive than our Tavor. And with the CAD being low, it scares me to think the price would be close to $3,500-$4,000?

Americanized mag release.......stupid yanks screw everything up. Tavor regular release is so easy once you get used to where it is.

You just won the most ignorant remark award for the SHOT '16 Threads. The x95 Tavor is the official successor to the Tar-21 and was fully designed, produced, and implemented into the IDF years ago. I dont think IWI Isreal has made Tar-21's for the IDF since the x95 came out, but I could be wrong on that.

The only major differences I can see the US Civilian x95 has is that it has an extended buttpad to keep it over the minimum length of 26" and they extended the front handgaurd to give more grip real estate to hold the rifle, and make the 16.5" barrel fit in better since the original x95 features a 13" barrel.

Oh, and of course the barrel is longer.

How does the mag release feel like? Is it spongy, or is it easy to press?

I wonder how this part functions like if the rifle gets a bit of dirt and dust into it.

So you don't think the mag release was moved to be more appealing to the American market?

No, that is where the original 95 has it. It would be nice to see this rifle come north, but I fear soon the RCMP and Libs are going to unleash a world of hurt on us with prohib and such of "black guns".
