    XM177E2 moderator

Hi, I am in the process of putting together a retro AR (a clone of a Vietnam era XM177E2 carbine). Have you guy's ever made a copy of the moderator type muzzle device? Obviously not with the baffles inside, but physically the same. I likely could get all the dimensions required, if it is something you have not done, but would do.

If you do have the dimensions OP, could you send me a copy?

I have a blueprint of the original, consisting of the internal baffle assy on 1 page and the exterior on 1 page. and of course the baffle print is much clearer(cause you don't need it) originally they were built by pressing the baffle assy into the housing and welding it in place, so you do need the baffle drawing, for the dimensions of the end that sticks out of the moderator and screws onto the barrel threads. the prints are online in the ar15.com archives. I don't think I can get them to post on here and be readable. PM me and maybe I can email them to you if you can't find them.

I have heard that the moderator is not considered a silencer in Canada. Can anyone verify or disprove?
