People used to say that because of previous rulings of the RCMP lab.

Surely you must see the SKS in this ... I mean it's almost uncanny how it looks like one of those AKed out SKSs.

This is going to be the better value X39 plinker, so it is going to have to come in between a SKS, and a CZ in price. If it is close to the CZ in price, its going to need to be close in finish and accessories. Since it is going to be new manufacture, not refurbed rifles used for decades; one would hope they incorporate items that would typically have to be dealt with aftermarket on surplus guns.

    For example:

Many are going to want optics, so it should have a rail, or be drilled...

    Chrome lined barrel

Front pic rail or attachment for bipod or "tacticool" hanger oners.
A free society must outlaw harming innocent people to function, but when we seek to curtail what all of us can do, rather than holding each of us responsible for what we actually do, we give up on freedom itself.

I see sks in the design, but I also see similarities to the vz58 design and the ak design. The piston is very vz like. The recoil spring is ak like as are the mags and the mag release.

Hardly any semi auto is an all new design. Always a Mish mash of ideas. Some look like ARs and have ak like internals.

For a grand or more? Guessing it won't be any more accurate than a sks ...meh.

I appreciate any gun that looks like "that" getting approved these days.
