Manurhin MR88 Revolvers in 357 Mag Now In Stock

I'm tempted by these but part of me thinks "wait and go all in on MR73 if one ever shows up again." I'm very jealous of 98/29's find posted above.

Very Nice! Is that the one TradeEx had a couple of months ago? I nearly clicked "add to cart" several times but the timing was wrong.

Is the empty cut out for a spare cylinder? I read somewhere that some of the MR73's came with a 9mm cylinder.

This was from CGNer. It's a an early model, unfired as far as I can tell and not a single scratch anywhere. I'd been looking for an MR73 for years prior to finding this one and ironically I still am looking for since I could not bring myself to shoot it!

The empty slot is indeed for a 9mm cylinder which is missing in almost all cases since 9mm round was banned in many European countries and that is where these MR73 come from.

If you really want an MR73 and you are willing to pay the price then wait for one. They don't show up often but they are worth the wait.

Are Manurhin revolvers in the same class as the Colt Python?

No, they are a class above Pythons but the average person does not know/believe this and Python's cult/popculture/discontinued status is what really commands the high prices that it gets (That is not to berate in anyway the fidelity or quality of Pythons). MR73 is in the same class as Korths, and to some people it might even be better than a Korth. Here is a good video by LifeSizePotato:

I believe if you are to buy an exceptionnal revolver, might as well be the original owner and get it unfired...

Just thinking out loud here... JP.:)

If you ever get your hands on a vintage unfired MR73, you'll never fire it, well at least I can't get myself to fire mine. That's why I'm looking for a shooter grade one. Aimsurplus in the U.S. Brought some in for 500$ a piece in various barrel lengths. I'd buy 3 for that price

In the video you posted the speaker says the Aimsurplus guns were about $900 and very abused.

He's probably wrong, because I remember trying to buy one and have it sent to an FFL but they sold out before I could sort things out. Unless he's talking about different batch.

I'd still buy them, even if they are considered abused. They were built to be shot 150 times a day and upto 150-170000 rounds without any deformations.

Yes we have a few MR73's on order that we will receive in the spring.

I admit I am a bit of a nerd, is there any possibility of getting one that looks like the old GIGN guns? They had the same 5 1/4" barrels as the sport, but with gerdarmerie sights and wood grips.

Sort of like that, any hope in hell?

Thanks, Matt.

Edit: a better picture.

:p

A while ago a company down in the US brought in a bunch of police issue MR73. Sold for $500 a piece. Maybe someday we'll see something like that here too.

Yup. I was one of living down there and had one. Moved back here, the 4" barrel couldn't come with.

That is such a nice story up until the part where you moved back here.

Did you get to shoot it at least?

It's actually the second one I had. Found one in the middle of Africa once too.
I liked the 2-3/4 more than the 4" in the US, tbh. Both smooth as butter though.

Get in touch with AIM i got my two Manurhin 73 from them they import a few every year . If you want dealers in USA go to Chapuis arms and look for dealers in the us

I just ordered new Manurhin 73 from Evolution in Idaho it will be here I think at the end of March 16 .The wait is long but if you can wait and spend the money is worth it
