    Any chance of seeing 5.45x39?

Now that the decent priced non corrosive 7.62x39 had started to dry up, what's the chances of getting in some cases of 5.45x39.theres got to be lots of that around since the US using importing it.

And before people start saying we don't have anything that can shoot it,yes we do,the XCR with a conversion kit, same goes for AR's.

    Thanks!

I would love a gun in 5.45x39, if the ammo was common

Won't see it cheap because no one has guns to shoot it.
The couple who did the conversion wouldn't justify a large order so there would be no nice bulk price

It's still a cheaper option then 5.56,if CanAm was to maybe contract something that was chambered in 5.45,we would see a surge in popularity.regardless I'm still interested in whatever 5.45 can be had,if any...feeds better in AR's then 7.62x39

There's a few options on barrels and bolts,so putting together an upper would not be hard, and XCR mags will load them, they could be a nice little budget shooter if we can get the ammo for a decent price.

Which comes first? The gun to shoot the ammo, or the ammo to shoot out of the gun?

    Chicken and the egg scenario.

If an importer wanted to be successful with this surplus, they'd have to be bringing in something to consume the ammo with.

At least then the market would begin to build.

Sure. But the first retailer through the door would have to bring in both a gun and the ammo together. Only then could other dealers stock simply one or the other.

Otherwise you are stocking ammo with nothing to shoot it, or something that needs shooting but nothing to feed it.
