Interestingly, the IDF has moved away from the heavier rubber buttpad on the original CTAR, and the new X95 models don't have any real buttpad at all! We like this setup best though

I couldn't see the tavor, I was watching Lovie...:xes

(P.S. I do like the idea of a curved butt pad, always wondered why is was flat in the first place... no one's got a flat shoulder to butt against, after all).

When you factor in the fact it is designed to be shot by soldiers wearing chest rigs or backpacks over the shoulder, a flat stock works just fine. Not really like shooting with only a t-shirt on.

But for those that do only shoot in a shirt, the curved pad is very nice.

I love my curved butt-pad! For me at least, less material on the pad makes for a shorter length of pull which is more comfortable when wearing a plate carrier. Makes it super easy to consistently shoulder the Tavor.
