Is there any reason that the 9 or 10 round 9mm 1911 mags wouldn't work properly in a Colt Series 80 1991, or their Colt Competition Pistol?

I too have a Colt Competition in 9mm from Irunguns and I've just ordered a few of the 10 rounders from Johnone at Marstar. I'm not concerned about fit and function. I've owned several brands of 1911 in 9mm and .45 and have been pleased with MEC Gar production magazines! It's all good!
