Smith & Wesson operate a bit like Harley Davidson.
Now that they have an N frame 8 shot 9mm revolver they'll probably offer other barrel lenths.
Just need to wait.
The S&W MODEL 929 PC Jerry Miculek only comes in a 6 1/2 inch Barrel at this time.
Just wondering if the compensator is removed, does 1/2 " of threaded barrel stick out past the front sight ? Can you post a picture of it with the compensator removed ? PITA I know.
The S&W 929 comes with a 1/2 Inch Stainless Cap to cover the end of Barrel with Compensator Removed.
Smith & Wesson does offer a 986 Pro series in 5 Inch Barrel & 7 Shot.
