I wonder if Holosun will ever stop coming out with new models.... :)
I think they are getting close.

I was wondering this too, as I already own a 515C.
I just checked the Holosun.ca website/Products, and the only difference I can see is the 'wings' around the caps, as xdmer calls them. Holosun's own advert says " Protected windage and elevation turrets.". I think that's about it from what I can see.
Darn, should have waited, I like the new improved C-U version better.

Looks like the rule of thumb for Holosun scopes is, wait about 6 months or so, and you'll be able to buy an improved model of the same scope. The least they could do is mark down the old model.
They're still good products, they just keep making them better, dammit.:rolleyes:
 
I don't think so, prices have gone up, due to the dollar. I had bought direct from Holosun.ca before dealers had the 515C model .. and it was 284 at the time ( I think ). New pricing was just over 300 I think .. so it's only a couple dollar difference.

The big difference is Vortex has a lifetime transferable warranty on everything and Holosun has a 3 year warranty on electronics 4 years on the glass and lifetime on the aluminum case..... for the original owner only. Holosun likes to refer to their lifetime warranty but they don't advertise the 3 year limit on the guts.

Optics quality is pretty much the same but Holosun wins it for me with with the solar power feature on top of battery life hours. Holosun is almost too cheap for what it offers.
