If there happens to be left overs we'd do dealer sales eventually. No ETA however as we are focused on coordinating our retail orders for the time being

Goodness people, we said exactly what the situation was at post 713.

So much hatred... Is our reputation really that poor? Order or don't order, you can cancel any time with no penalty. Those "waiting till they land" might be waiting till 2017, there aren't any other shipments planed for 2016.

Let try and get this thread back on topic and away from tinfoil hat conspiracies. Anybody want to see a recoil comparison video between an SKS, 858 and Type 81?

We got out and did a quick video yesterday, will be up tomorrow (forgot the camera in the truck that went in for servicing today)

    First impressions:
Felt recoil is not that different between the rifles, maybe slightly less on the Type 81, but nothing significant. We were wearing thick sweaters though, maybe you'd feel more of a difference when wearing a t-shirt

The Type 81 is slightly front heavy when aiming compared to 858, but less so then an AK-47

Fixed stock is much more ergonomic then CZ 858, and allows for better cheekweld. I find the 858 stock hits my cheekbone when using it sometimes. YMMV.

Iron sights are a bit larger and smaller sight radius than 858 or SKS, so more difficult to do long range work with iron sights.

    No stoppages/failures.

Triggers are all about the same, no significant differences felt.

The most significant and unexpected difference is the controllability. When you fire the Type 81 the front sight literally doesn't move. With the other rifles you have to take a couple seconds to get re-align sights and place your next shot, on the Type 81 everything is very sharp and immediately back on target. This was hugely unexpected and is a quite noticeable difference between the rifles. Right now a lot of people like this rifle for it's AK-style looks, but once it gets out there and people start shooting them I think it'll get a following for being just a great shooter

Yeah no. Poly doesn't even have the quadrail from the supplier yet, we just spoke with them today. They also will only be available separately, not pre-installed on guns.

Sorry guys, nothing fancy. Once we get the rail and maybe a couple mags we can do something better.

Notice the barrel and matt black finishing. The traditional Chinese version have different finishing.

Tactical Import: If you are not Ok with these photo let me know. I will delete them.

As mentioned before, finish will be blued as per military original. Barrel will be ribbed like the military original. Will look exactly as what is on our website except for 0.75" extra bbl. There will no surprises or anything different from what we've said all along.

We only received one sample, and it was a fixed stock.

Stretch this out as long as long as they can and the longer they take the more money they make.
This means their motivation is to delay the rifles not deliver them.
Good luck to those thinking they will see them this year.
Pretty sure we'd loose more then 5% business doing that. Also, makes no sense to hold up inventory turn-around for a crappy investment. We do business by buying and selling. When that process is slowed it's bad for business.
