You don't have a full set and I can buy newly made, Ironwood Designs naked wood for $225 US that looks like this (after you finish it), makes the surplus wood look like sh!t.

The price is 225 USD + shipping + tax + custom duties & unfinished. So you are easily looking at 400+ CAD to get it here unfinished and NO installation hardware.
BTW do you shoot your rifles or you just look at them ?

I paid a premium for superior stuff and already had the hardware. At that time, I paid no taxes at the border (unsure why) and US$ was around $1.15. Total price was about $280 CDN. Guys were drooling over my CZ858 w/walnut so I sold it for a profit.

I shoot my VZ58 with wood furniture.

If there are still CZ858's coming in to Wolverine, I'll buy one and source some IWD wood. Don't care that it's pricey, as the quality makes is worth it to me. I bought a whole set of surplus wood for $75 two years ago...

How about the numbers today ? A lot has changed in the last 2 years and the CAD is 1.33 today.
Also, lots of guys (incl. myself) change the front guards with railed options.
