What the hell are with these posts?
I did a quick mod on my folding stock in an attempt to add a cheek weld. I started with some fine para cord, then moved up to some larger stuff with a foam core. Looks wise it's just ok for me, but the para cord has made it significantly nicer to aim down the sites. Raised the stock by about 3/4". I sewed up the loose ends nice and tight so hopefully it stays put.

Finally got mine today. Nice gun. The machining isn't as smooth as my CSA VZ 58. But it is a nice gun over all.
Original military issue is grey as well, probably since 1958...
Well I guess i was one of the luckey ones...
I'm looking for a decent muzzle brake for it if anyone has a spare. If I could lay my hands on a 14x1 mm tap i will make one on my trusty lathe, but i would sooner buy one.
Also mine has what looks to be red locktite on the front site post.
that is very common. Was used to keep front sight in place after sight in.

Oh cool, I kind of figured as much. It is my first CZ 858 I have a CSA VZ 58 though. The finish on the CSA is better but it seems the tolerances on the CZ are tighter.
I was constipated. All better now. Also envious of all you CZ/CSA owners.
