This is a fantastic package at the perfect price point. I think this answers all the ergonomic problems with the midline chassis with the height over bore issues found using the PRS stocks and gets you a folder option and the action inline with the comb for a VERY economic price point. CADEX YOU NAILED IT!! We will be moving a lot more of these I think. Thanks Patrice!

I would be good to see a more aggressive barricade stop machined into the front of the magazine well as a competition series though for the PRS shooting styles.

Well, buy a chasis and heat your gun up. See if the design lives up to it's claim. It claims to mitigate the mirage produced from barrel heat, which can interfere with sight picture. Rather than chuckle, step up and review the stock.

Don't come on a business' forum and bash them. It is disrespectful. Cadex puts out some of the best rifles in Canada today.
And all we have to do is wait for you to post something and it proves you are not LOL

What is that saying... I know a guy.

I know one is already out there and is being tested.

The forend is approx 3" longer. (we asked for this) thank you Cadex

the Mirage mitigation covered slots were already part of their 338 chassis system. Under the open system the Mirage could travel straight up interfering with your view through the scope. With the covered system the mirage will be reduced slow role around the forend, and depending on the speed of the wind will either not affect your view or will reduce said mirage.

picture... please note mirage is based on barrel heat if you only put 3 round through your rifle at a time there will be far less mirage then if you run 25rds in 15 min when shooting single string in US F classs.

    All the best
    Trevor

I like the covered forend no more worries about rain or other debris finding ways in.

Mirage if shooting in Canada F class i don't bother with a mirage band (Cadex design will help) in the US or team shooting i would run a separate mirage shield to ensure no mirage obscured my picture.
** there is less trapping of heat (discussed in picture) as the open forend allows greater air flow.

Yep too bad. The worst is that we designed it couple weeks ago but I couldn't find a minute to announce it.

Yep it's pretty much only that. May sound funny to you but its not to most competitive shooters, neither to some military groups that requested us to make the complete analysis of the mirage effect as the barrel heats up. It took couple hundred rounds of 338 Lapua and a 25 000$ thermal camera in order to determine where the heat goes and what is happening inside the fore-end tube when it heats up. We also recorded with high speed camera (55 000 frames per seconds) what is happening when you fire a rifle in our chassis, how the energy transmits to the chassis, to the shooter, to the action rail, to the Night Vision device... Our customer's benefit from the knowledge we acquire over these tests.

What you may not know is that Cadex has two divisions, one is the military side while the other one consist of designing testing equipment. http://www.cadexinc.com/ Cadex testing equipment are well know around the world for measuring industry standards such as impacts, acid rain, UV rays, electric shocks and tons of others. We have about 80% of the worldwide market of testing equipment and this is why we are well known among the industry to be THE company capable to understand and explain complicated phenomena's happening at ultra fast speed. This is one reason why our top end chassis are the lowest recoil chassis you will find on the market, because we are specialized at understanding these things.

So yes it may sound simple at first and "mirage mitigation technology" may sound funny to explain a closed top front tube but feel free to compare our tube to all other mirage control invention that shooter's put on their rifle to reduce this phenomena and I'm sure you will be greatly surprised about how it performs.

    Respectfully

Sorry but carbon fiber is not the way to go. It looks good for sure but it's not as strong, stable and resistant as aluminum. Keep in mind that Cades is a military grade product maker, it's great if it suits the civilian market but our main market is the military.

I'm working hard to grow more business in the civilian world so that Cadex could continue to offer top end products to civilians who wants the top quality as if their life depends on it.

The Field Tactical is another beast. Full rail capability including NVG top rail.

The fixed stock competition model is like a Field OT with a skeleton stock and an improved fore-end tube. I will post the length difference in couple minutes.
