I contacted SAM about this and just received an email back from them advising they have indeed contracted with a new supplier and plan to resume production of their stainless guns for export to Canada "within the year".

Wolverine, I trust that as soon as these are available again, you guys will be ordering in more stainless commanders? Hopefully we'll see new stock of the GI E 45 and Sigma 9 on the website in the New Year...

Please forward your e-mail from SAM to me as SAM's last reply to me was that it was impossibly to say when stainless guns would be available! I would like to follow up with them, thanks.

You are welcome to place an order with us but I have to be convinced that we need 10 of the same model as that is the minimum we have to order. I have no plans to place an order with SAM any time soon. We have to order a minimum of 50 per order, so I need to let our inventory level drop a little lower before placing an order.

We have some standard Military 1911A1 .45 on our next shipment which should be shipped this month, I will chase it up now. SAM sight details are in a sticky at the start of our page.

We have no back orders in with SAM and no plans to re-order anytime soon. There are a few 1911 enhanced models left, I would seriously consider one of them.

Nothing ordered, be almost as cheap to purchase a second gun.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I really just want a WW2 era replica with better fit and finish than the Norinco version.
