    HS3 Savage fitment

I picked up a HS3 not to long ago for a savage short action and finally got to installing it but I have a question first. Thought I would ask here instead of trying to explain it over the phone.

On your site there is a little disclaimer "Note: Savage has many different models and configurations. In a very few cases, small modifications may be necessary to the chassis to ensure trigger group and recoil lug clearance."

My trigger (RB Sav1) hits inside at the back, so do I just take the dremmel to it and take some of that out until it fits? DO any of you other guy have some pics of your jobs?

You can see here where it rubs

    thx

You are exactly right. That needs to be opened up.
In the meantime, we will pass this to our designers to see if we can add this clearance!

    Oh and...

What are those threaded holes for that are right beside the action bolt holes? I was thinking of bedding this and filling them in with Devcon.

Those are fixture holes. But why would you bed this? Really unnecessary!

Sorry I dont know how I missed this.

I just like to bed everything I can. Just seems like the right thing to do.

It did shoot really fricken good for the first time I took it out though, so... in fact it was the best group to date with me. thx

I might have to get a little bit higher rings though.
