Their jackets are relatively thick (but consistent) and the 123gr is a bullet I've used on deer. It made similar wound channels to the Accubonds.

I was starting them at 3250fps out of a 6.5 Rem Mag, so expect they will do well at more civilized velocity.

I would recommend H4350 as a powder as well.
Ok fair enough. My experience was with 300 gr 338s and a moose, and I believe a FMJ would have shown more expansion.
I guess this is the problem with blanket statements and for that I apologize and clarify. 300 gr 338 cal Scenars, 225 gr 30 cal Hornady Match both worked extremely poorly for me. None of this is relevant to the MH I realize.

Mag length will be the biggest determining factor. Personally I would think 200 would be the maximum. We have been using Federal Premium with the 200 gr Trophy Bonded with the polymer tip and have regulated the gas port for that ammo and it cycles well.

Revolvers RULE; remember that next time you BEND over to pick up brass OR ejected brass pings off the precision gear.
Looking for a car pool buddy for weekly weekday trips from Burnaby to POCO. Better yet I'll drive weekly and you take me hunting.
