When the dollar was closer to par, custom 1911's where a big hit.
Over the years and our dollar slowly slipping, guns that were once 3500.00 were now 5000.00+. American attitudes with dealing with Canada, order errors, manufacturers making promises they couldn't keep etc.. It just wasn't a sustainable business model to stock dozens of custom 1911s anymore.
