    Anschutz 160th Anniversary Editions

    Hey, didn't Lockheed make the SR-71 "Blackbird" out of Titanium?

    Some very special rifles available from Anschutz. J.G. Anschütz, in celebration of there 160th Anniversary are launching a special series of Anniversary Edition Rifles. Only 20 of each will ever be made, all with a special serial number. There will be 8 different models launched, 20 of each model, from the hunting, target and biathlon line.
    Now that's a limited edition!

    First up is the 54.30 Titanium....
    Take a 30kg block of Titanium and mill it for 30 hours on a special CNC Machine and the result is a single 1.5kg Anniversary Edition stock.

    Will be very interested to see what the Hunting and Biathlon ones are! That is definitely collectors edition stuff right there!

    Actually not bad - IF you had to decide between some fancy Rolex and a true piece of art as in this case!
    Oh, I surely would thing this beauty has a better fit and finish than a 'Blackbird' - It was leaking fuel when parked (yea I know.. it would stop once 'hot'..)

    I'm really looking forward to the Hunting and Biathlon line as well. I'm sure they will be stunning. I can just imagine How stunning the wood is gonna be on those rifles if they are using Titanium for the Precise stock.
