I understand that higher priced items come with higher expectations. Maybe something is out of spec? I don't know as I only have my one to compare your pictures to. I would make an honest effort to work with them and figure out whether or not this is truly a problem before all the hate and bashing. Then post your experiences so we may all learn something. I wouldn't go and make a hasty, un educated decision to sell it until you've at least tried to figure it out. If ATRS comes to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with it at least take it out and try it for yourself before making the final decision to sell it and lose money. At this point you already own the rifle so the price you will be able to sell it for won't be much if any different whether or not you put a few rounds through it to see for yourself. Your concern may not effect the rifles function and performance at all. If I bought something that I really wanted I would do everything to figure it out that I could before deciding to dump it and lose money. It almost sounds to me like you didn't make the right decision on what type of rifle to purchase for yourself and are just looking for an excuse?
He has contacted us several times and spoken with everyone of of our staff over the last few months. We have repeatedly asked that he return it to us to see IF there really are any problems or concern. It is VERY hard to fix something when the client will not oblige us by returning it to us.

The question was asked online but not answered as to whether the rifle has even been fired. I see in the for sale posting it is advertised as unfired. Which he has confirmed by phone with one of us, claiming there is no point in shooting the rifle as it would only be wasting ammo, assuming that the few thou of gap will make the rifle inaccurate. AR style rifles by nature have some gap and wiggle between the upper and lower, this is part of the built in tolerances between the upper and lower, yet strangely they seem to shoot well. Unfortunately the client does not want to allow us an opportunity to see IF there really is a problem and correct any problem IF it exists.

It is normal to have a few thousandths of an inch tolerance between an upper and lower. "Zero" tolerance would make it impossible to assemble or disassemble. Seeing a small sliver of light when a hi power light source is put inside the rifle is to be expected. Rifles are NOT water or light proof after all.

Not for an instant are we saying we won't fix what ever is wrong IF indeed there is a problem, but we can't force a person to help themselves.

    This!

Also mine might be a little tighter but up close I can see daylight and have minor wiggle up and down. But it is nothing like twisting wiggle like an AR, meanning handling/shouting the rifle there is no wiggle, only wen pressing down on it.

I would like to know if you got other AR to compare it to? I have an excellent DD M4V5 that hase ben flawlesd the pass 4-5 years and it has a wiggleand significantly more daylight in between the upper and lower!

I don't think there is any hate going on but
I sure can't figure out why he won't try to work with us to see whether there is a problem or not.

I can tell you 3 months or whatever number you wish to hear but the fact is I would prefer to be honest and tell you we are running 6 to 7 months behind in building our rifles. We do not have a large warehouse filled with guns already built. We build them custom as they are ordered in small production runs. We order the parts that we do not manufacture in-house from outside suppliers such as Magpul, PRI, JP, and several others as we need them to build our rifles.
We are not a large manufacturer who produces rifles enmasse, these are custom hand built rifles built to the spec of those who order them. Those are the facts and unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that.
    Cheers

Typically 6 to 7 months. Much depends on what barrel and furniture options you choose as some of the manufacturers are faster at delivery than others.

As I stated some post back, you need a bit of slack if not it would be almost impossible to assemble...

Anyone can make a mistake. Why not give them a chance to look at it in person before you get rid of the rifle?

Look man, mine is the same way, I can slide a edge of paper inbetween, but not 2 business cards. Go to a gun shop and look at AR's, some of them are like mail slots!

You simply have impossible to meet expectations. If your rifle is such poor quality, better knock a good 25-35% off of new price for the ee, and I bet you the new owner will be extatic.

Out of all my black rifles, ricks have the nicest fit and finish by a mile. True craftsmanship. They may not be my favorites, but they are certainly my nicest.
