    MDT 308 Mags and RPR

Ordered a couple of these from MDT and arrived super fast. Used them for the first time today and discovered something interesting ( at least I didn't see anything posted as of yet)

Good news to Ruger RPR owners. The mags fit in the RPR. Tried this on my buddy's RPR today. Loaded it up, insert mags, bang all the rounds and drops with a flick of a switch. Repeat with no issues.

I've read that these mags only hold 8 rnds and bulge out if you load all 10... Is this the case?

Definitely tight to load ten. Top of mag gets distorted a bit

I was looking at buying a mdt tac 21 chassis . Are there any other mags that works with this chassis? (Savage SA).

The mdt website lists the capacity of their 308 mags at 8 not 10. Only their .223 mags hold 10. Everyone just assumes that the magazines should hold 10 and then complain when they don't. Don't know why they weren't made to hold 10 maybe they used the same outside body for both mag sizes. Not a fanboy just clearing things up

Our polymer magazine was designed for 10 rounds. But after production we noticed that the 10th round is very tight, and makes the sides swell a little. It still works for some people.
But, we want the products we advertise to work well. So because the magazines work well up to 8 rounds without swelling, we decided to call it an 8 round magazine.

We now also have metal 5 round, and are weeks away from metal 10 round magazines.
Yes, the accurate mag will work as well.
