    Good on Shooters Choice for bringing them in. However, I'm not thrilled with aluminum frame 1911s at the best of times, especially in that price range.

    Kimber uses them and they charge big bucks.

    If you are a very high round count kind of person, buy a steel framed 1911.

    I doubt I'll ever shoot one enough to destroy any handgun, but the Ruger aluminum frames have a titanium insert on the feed ramp that is supposed to alleviate some issues? I've got no idea what else is prone to more wear than a steel frame, but it seems Ruger was aware of at least that issue.

    That's what I did. Bought a Kimber Stainless Target II 9mm and a SAM SS Commander 9mm.

    i remember in ~2013 when Ruger Sr1911 used to be around 700$ now it is 1000$
    gunpowder for breakfast and Trudeau for the circus

    I sell the Kimber Stainless Target II 9mm as well, basically same money ($1325-$1350).
    Which is hard to believe
