Nice video and review, That gun looks nice.

It SUCKS that all that effort went into making it light ( 5pounds 7 ounces) and due to a minimalist selection of light weight scopes that that Nikon adds just over a pound of scope to that gun for a total that brings it to over 6.5 pounds.

it is frustrating asa a mountain rifle fan to see that there are very limited scope options . With a lot of manufactures making ultralight rifle's and components it would be great to have a scope manufacture do the same.

currently Leupold , minox and simmons are the only lightweight options I know of....and they are still all around 1/2 pound

Leupold scopes are pretty nice for a combo of weight, clarity etc. If I was building the rifle just for weight it is likely what I would mount. I've had them in the past and have always been happy with them. My favorite is the X3 in 4.5-14x40. I picked the Nikon mostly because I wanted to try the reticle. My son ended up shooting the buck at about 100 yards so it was for naught anyways. The best laid plans of mice and men.......... I'll probably end up trying it on a different package again - maybe a varmint rig. Then I can get a chance to stretch it out to 400 yards and see how it works.
