    Question:
What is stopping a gunsmith from marking the barrel with what the gun is chambered for?
If you were to rechamber a rifle the gunsmith would legally stamp the barrel with the new cartridge designation.
Are shotguns different in the eyes of the law - as far as marking a barrel for gauge and length?
If it truly has a 3 1/2" chamber why not mark it as such?

3 inch for sure. I think the only m2 based 3.5 benelli's are the SBEII's

If the barrel says 3" on it; I think you would get eaten alive in court.

But it's your butt on the line.
You'll need to decide for yourself what you're comfortable with.

    Agreed.
But why can't it be relabelled?
Seems to me 5 minutes with a stamp beats explaining to a judge the reasonings for your actions.
Plus it's got to be cheaper than the lawyer...

Why are we still discussing this on an open forum ? This issue has been beaten to death many times over. If there is a question, why not contact Tacord via email and have him explain. Just sayin.
