I have a PPQ M2 5” 9mm and a Shadow 2. I have used both in IPSC. Out of the box, I am more accurate with the PPQ (out to 25m). I shoot 147g in both guns. At the moment, I prefer the weight of the Shadow 2 and its recoil. I find the factory mags drop consistently better on the PPQ vs the CZ factory mags during competition. I prefer the red fibre optic on the Shadow 2 vs the Walther sights. My hands are medium size, and I use the largest hand grip adapter on the PPQ. The checker pattern on the Shadow 2 is way tougher (and grippier) on my hands than the PPQ which works fine for me. My thumb catches on the slide release often with the PPQ preventing the slide from holding open when empty - I have modified my grip, and this has only happened to me once with the Shadow 2. Lastly, I can strip and clean the PPQ easier than the Shadow 2. Hope that helps.

Forgot to add, triggers are comparable on both guns - very good. However, the PPQ does not have a heavier DA pull (like the Shadow 2 can) and in IPSC no need to worry about putting the hammer down after the “load and make ready” command.

if only it weren't for that giant slide release getting in the way of my combat hold...
