Yes, the rear sight is integrated into the plate so if you mount an optic you lose the rear sight.

i'm going to try to get to Tenda to see this bad boy. I was looking at M*P Core or Glock MOS but this looks like a nice option too. Right now the G17 MOS is in the lead but we'll see how the Walther is :D
