As Dilli said, you'll need an aftermarket foreend to make it look balanced, so more cost incurred.
They are moving back to 15" barrels in Israel.

In civilian form there is no advantage really as the polymer body has been extended to cover up the US compliant 16" barrel that looked horrendously long on the standard mil design. For civy use it just a different manual of arms. Not to mention the Civy x95 has had some questionable accuracy results.
And there I thought it was because the high-speed low-drag elements of the IDF couldn't take any more flack from their Northern American high-speed peer, causing them to want something more AR like to stop the trash talking.

Don't know where you get your info from but that's false.

As for an earlier question, the CTAR-21's were the first Tavors issued to the IDF in 06'. Around 2010'ish they started to switch over to the Micros. The majority of the IDF still uses the m16/m4.

Now, pardon my ignorance but... Tavors and the new X95 just seem awful expensive for what they are. What advantages do they offer that make them worth it? Honest question.
