That's quite common use for them actually, whether or not its a feature of their design or an official use for them I'm not sure but they are used like that by almost all their users from what I see. Quite a bit of this same technique is used by both sides on the Ukrainian front as well.

AGS-17 in the video. And primary use for it is indirect fire. The principle of laying it for indirect fire are the same as mortar BTW. Originally Posted by TV-PressPass
