Yup, when not in my kayak I'm on my SUP, great exercise and way to shut down the brain for a bit.
 
I am not in this boat. If I happen to purchase a new gun, and Mrs. Cannon is not happy, she simply takes it for her own use.

Prices and quality vary in SUP's and you really do get what you pay for with them.

For example you can get one at a box store and pay under $800 for a hard board but the weight will be 60lbs+ which makes it hard to transport/carry

If you're in the $1400 + price range you'll get one around 36lbs

In the $1800 + price range you can get down to 24lbs in the carbon fiber.

Hard boards are the way to go unless you want to transport it in a small car or want the ultimate in durability, then go with an inflatable. Again, you get what you pay for in these as well.
 
Here's the move: buy a gun.dont tell wife. Buy a paddle board.
Wife is happy you are interested in something other than guns.
Win win.
