Some clubs have a barrel length rule and some don't. Some are minimum 24" and some are 26". Only semi legit reason offered is that the shorter barrel creates more noise and muzzle blast making it uncomfortable for the shooters on either side of you.
I believe it's more of an image thing and an attempt to keep out the riff raff with their tacticool gangster guns.
I've seen some shooters do well with short barrels at the 16 yrd station at the range but it becomes impractical at further ranges.
Round capacity is also cited as an issue. In trap you only fire one shot at a time and you move shooting stations every 5 shots. When you go from 5th position to 1st position , you walk behind the other shooters and do so with action open or gun broken open. Mag fed guns make it hard to tell if you still have rounds in gun.
Plus you'll be looked at like the guy holding his Glock sideways at the other range

Corect me if i'm wrong;
-Mag realease is at the bottom between grip and mag.
-Bolt release is on the side which looks very AR'ish.
-Safety above grip.
And is that a take down button in front of the bolt release?
Eat, sleep, , reload.
I WANT THIS GUN!!!
But, I will wait till its here...
Beautiful gun, I've been bitten too many times by pre-orders but I'll definitely buy one once they're in store.
These look awesome. CANNOT wait until they are cleared and ready to land.
