I bought one of these sights and I love it. Looks like the rifle was made with it.

Did you try using a punch (or a finishing nail) and a hammer to pop the pin out? You absolutely CAN NOT force the sight out with the pin still in there.

I just installed one on my factory 25 Chinese SKS. The original sight has no pin. Easy install. The new peep lines up exactly with the front sight hood ring. Excellent for my old eyes. What a nice product!

Did you get a chance to make some thin front posts?

Not as yet. Have been busy with some other projects and now the Mosin Raveneye is the priority.

I just installed the Raveneye rear sight in my SKS,

Was wondering if anyone had any issues with the "under-site-tongue-spring" not putting any pressure on the new Raveneye sight?

I installed it, and removed it to check, then re-installed it. It is properly installed, the pins are sitting properly in the holes (side holes), it went in the guide channel properly and looks properly mounted, BUT

The spring no longer has any pressure on the Raveneye piece, the raveneye is just there, it doesnt spring down, you can lift it back and forth, and it wont "snap" back down, its kinda just binding at whatever height you set it to.

Im going to oil the pin holes and spring,

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Thanks!

Nothing on that front. It seems that you guys are keeping me busy just refilling inventory.

Mosin sights are coming shortly as well as an improved version of the SKS rail.
I should be listing a very nice 20 moa Remington 700 picatinny rail on the website this week.

I had thought the SKS front sights would be available through US sources ... has this dried up or is it just too expensive?
