Hmmm inexpensive fast 4198. Sounds like a good rifle cast bullet powder.

Any plans for an IMR 4895 type?
Along with .30 cal 150 Gr by the bucket?

I want to set up my own personal Garand ammo factory...
Will the 4895 also work well in magnum rifle cartridges? I have 308's but also 7mm R.E.M. Mag and 300 win mag. Would love to only nee a keg of pistol and a keg of rifle powder!

It is listed as Hodgdon 700x on the website not IMR 700x

so use the Hodgdon 700x load data?

4895 would work for 300 Win Mag with under 150 grain bullets. Not so much for 160 and over.
Hodgdon doesn't list 4895 for 7mm Rem Mag.. that's what 4831 is for. VV N160 works well too.

Thanks Canada Ammo! This is great news for canadian reloaders who blow through tons of ammo! When do you expect it on the site?

This just made my morning! Bring on the cheap powder.

I'm stocked on H4198 right now, but I'll still grab a couple pounds of D4198 with my next order, whenever that will be. Also a pound or two of D700 to feed the .45's!

D4895 will be very, very popular. If you guys can swing some D4350 and maybe some D7828 for the "larger capacity" crowd, you'd be heroes!

    D4350 would be great.

Just waiting for someone to ask for DARGET.

Looking for a car pool buddy for weekly weekday trips from Burnaby to POCO. Better yet I'll drive weekly and you take me hunting.
