    Cold Weather Pants

looking at your cold weather pants
    http://frontierfirearms.ca/canadian-forces-surplus-cold-weather-pants/

what kind of insulation do they have? any idea of the temp they are rated for?

if I get 1000 rounds of 380 auto with the flat shipping of $15 do the pants ship with it free?

    thanks

Inner nylon liner, goretex then poly/cotton on the outside...great pants, comfortable, elastic waist etc. and fit a bit larger to fit over combats or fleece. A pair of these and some of the listed fleece and I would say you would be warm at -25....others may have other opinions but that's mine. Also, have purchased numerous items from FF and they have been excellent to deal with.

Thanks for the info freeordie. I have a pair of these too. -25 would be a good rule of thumb (as long as you are not sitting in a tree stand). If they ship with ammo, it is covered by the $15 rate.

Well I will give them a try, it is for sitting in a blind but they will be over long John's, and jeans. I could maybe throw camouflage pants in their too since I will be getting 38 and I am a squeeze 36.

So these fit a little big? I am a 34 waist semi snug and I see there is no 36" do these have the buttons for suspenders? As well would they be quiet enough for walking /still hunting with no noisy nylon outer shell? does anyone carry the wool cargo pocket army pants we used to be able to get? Thanx Harold

they are called "wind pants" in service and they keep you dry and stops the wind. One of the better pieces of kit the army has.

Frontier lists both the aforementioned Cold Weather pants AND Wind Pants on their website. They look to be different items from the photos.

Beat me to it above post..............Cold weather pants and wind pants are two separate things are they not? You don't want noisy nylon for still hunting............Harold
