    Silly question it is not.

    M16 upper and most small parts are same/interchangeable.
    Weren't the original armalite/sterling uppers usable on the NR gun?

    New manufacturer, new make, or new model needs a new parent frt.

    If those three things are the same but barrel length, or calibre changes then only a child addition is needed.

    As canada ammo isn't armalite, it's a new frt parent entry.

    I would think that an FRT # isn't an issue as the receiver is already approved?

    My lord this would be down right amazing. A DA 180b? Reasonable price point? Could this really happen? It's late I must be sleeping.
