Patrice, it makes perfect sense thank you for the detailed explanation, but this means that you catalog is misleading.

On page 16 of the new catalog at the bottom left it says "compatible with any Cadex chassis for R7 action" and it shows pictures of what appears to be light strike with top rail and folding stock and filed strike with top action rail. Yet we now know that neither folding stock nor top rail chassis are compatible.

It seems like you are totally right. This will be fixed in the next 15 minutes. We're on it. It's difficult for us as the catalog is always sent 5-6 weeks ahead of ShotShow and sometimes the information on the new products from R&D is not always available at this time. Thanks for the hawk eye and sorry for the misleading information.

I went to the website just to check MSRP of the sheepdog and it's one of the few products you don't list a starting MSRP for, I am just curious if it's in a ballpark of what i want to spend before bugging dealers. Second after what you said about the action not working with different chassis, will it work with the Competition fixed chassis as it doesn't have a folding stock or top rail? If so can it be ordered that way?

We are still working on the website as there's a lot of new stuff.

The R7 Sheepdog (short action calibers) is 3899.95 $ MSRP (+268.95$ for the optional brake) Dealers may chose to retail at a different price (often lower).

The Field Competition is an Open Top model and as you mentioned it doesn't fold so the R7 action would be a drop in fit for any of the following models:

• Field OT
  OT Core
  Field Competition

The following models would also work but if you already own one of these chassis for Rem700 you would need a new top rail (or top rail set) for the R7. Otherwise if you order a brand new chassis just specify that it's for a R7 action and we'll provide the right top rail set.

• Field Tactical
  Tactical Core
  Field Strike
  Field Core

You have my attention, Thats only a few hundred off what I was figuring a semi modified Remington in a decent stock was going to cost me with still no guarantees it shoots. What would be the up charge cost to get a sheepdog in a Field Competition with skeleton stock?

Couple months ago I took the decision not to put the complete rifles on the Online Store as to me precision rifles deserves a high level of customer service to make sure the people get exactly what they need. To me a rifles shouldn't be sold online but face-to-face or over the phone in order to have a good conversation with the customer, confirm that he's legit and make sure what he's about to buy is what he truly needs (maybe a similar product would be better for him).

So I'm not sure yet if the actions will be available online or not. I always prefer when the people are contacting our dealers to purchase from them as it saves me the trouble to organize a deal with their local dealer. As I explained multiple times in the last few year, Cadex retails at more expensive than most Canadian stocking dealers so there's no advantage to try to go direct with us.
