“MDC will be importing bolt carrier groups for all MCX rifles legitimately imported to Canada. We have worked with Sig Sauer to identify the serial numbers of all known MCX’s in Canada and we are sorting out the paperwork to get the replacement bolts brought in for replacement.

Sig Sauer will cover the cost of the shipping the rifle to and from our Mississauga Warranty Centre. We will replace the bolt carrier group, test fire for function and service the rifle.

If you have already sent us an email with your name and serial number, please be patient, we will be in contact with you when we are ready to perform the upgrade. If you have not yet sent us your serial number and contact information, please email: sigrepairs@mdcharlton.ca and we’ll get you added to our contact list.

The Bolt Carrier Groups are in-stock in the US, we are just sorting out licensing to get these over the border. Expect 45-60 days for this process to work itself through.

Sig Sauer apologizes for the inconvenience this has caused and assures all MCX customers that they will be taken care of to their satisfaction.”

Cool - very reassuring to see that you guys are already on top of this issue. My MCX does indeed fall within the serial range for the recall, so I will check back in the New Year for news.
