Changes for 2017:

We would like to take this opportunity thank you for your compliments and constructive criticism. We have done a number of changes for the 2017 Calendar year.

We have added more phone lines and staff to accommodate the influx of calls and emails. We are also looking at staffing the Canadian office on Saturdays to accommodate the increase in business.

1. Unless you have contact with one of our staff, please email the “Contact us” pages on either site or admin@irunguns.ca for all inquiries. Please do not email or reply to the “Email payment confirmation” or “status updates” you get from the site. We are unable to monitor these and as a result your email will go unnoticed. Please only email one point of contact.
If you are enquiring about the status of your order, it is very important that you include your order number in your email.

2. We have added additional phone lines, including links to warranty and administration.

3. All staff in Canada and the U.S. have been instructed to offer assistance both by phone and email to aid with online purchases and product queries. This will hopefully address the issue of “was interested in making purchases twice, but both times didn't receive a reply to my message”. Please understand we receive over 200 emails a day and we do our best to catch them all.

4. We would also like to welcome Carolyn Cabana to the IRUNGUNS team. She brings years of IT experience and a wonderfully pleasant demeanor to the office. She will be streamlining internal operations and looking after warranty and administration. You can find her on CGN as GunRunnerGirl, please feel free to welcome her.

Warranty

1. All warranty for Canada is conducted through the Canadian office and shipped state side once a month for repairs. All products go directly back to the manufacturer for warranty work. Should you have a warranty issue, please contact the Canadian office at 780-449-7220 and choose option 4. They will issue you a RMA. Please take the time to be extremely detailed with your issue and the problems you are having when filling this RMA out.

2.Pictures are also greatly appreciated. This information is provided to the manufacturer to repair your item. If you miss something or don’t explain it well enough it may not be repaired to your satisfaction.

3.All warranty products need to be returned in their original cases or boxes. For example, should you send your gun in a shoe box it will not be going state side. We have updated the Canadian website so you can track your item when it has gone out for warranty repair.

4.Some people may get upset when they have an issue with a product they have purchased, we understand that but yelling and screaming on the phone or nasty emails will not help the issue. Remember the person you are dealing with is there to help you; if you are belligerent you most likely won’t get the quality of service that is required to make this a painless process.

Shipping

The Canadian site now uses an API or direct feed from Canada Post to calculate shipping costs for both the US and Canadian orders. Please pay close attention when checking out, as firearms can only be shipped via ground. Ammunition and exploding targets will continue to be shipped via Canpar. This will streamline the shipping process and offer the best possible shipping rates, all packages are shipped with insurance.

US Orders

You will receive an email once your order has been packaged and processed for Canada. This email will ask you to pay the GST and Canadian shipping. Paying this ahead of time will streamline the shipping of your order once it clears customs. All orders that are paid prior to clearing customs are given priority once the export is sorted and are shipped out first. Please pay close attention when checking out, as firearms can only be shipped via ground.

Please make sure your email address is correct when purchasing off either site as this is the main point of contact. If purchasing a firearm please include your shirt size in extra notes when checking out to ensure you get a free shirt.

We now inventory close to 70,000 products. We try our best to ensure all descriptions and pictures match the product. These pictures are provided by the manufacturer and as such may not represent the exact product. If you are uncertain about a product please google the UPC code, check on the manufacturers website or email carolyn@irunguns.ca and she will get back to you right away to help address your concerns.

US. Exchange Rate

The U.S Exchange rate will also be posted in the latest news on www.irunguns.ca We also highly recommend should you be shopping on one of our sites or in the U.S. on a regular basis please look into the AMAZON Credit Card. AMAZON does not upcharge the Exchange Rate and it is the most cost effective way to purchase something in the U.S.

Happy New Year from all of us at IRUNGUNS

Can now see pics of my order items on the .us site and that the order is "US Order Assigned and Pending Export to Canada". Good to see the site improving and info kept current.
Hopefully the CDN shipping rates have improve as my last rifle shipping from you in AB cost 30% more than a much heavier rifle from ON.

Not a problem for those with eggs in the CDN and US basket. Next time CDN$ is par buy US$ stocks that also pays US$ dividends.
Love what you guys are doing, the only problem is that the economists are predicting our dollar to drop to $0.65 USD.

Hangs head in shame for saying this...

Good to see you guys are making some positive changes unlike most to all Canadian retailers who sit on their laurels.

Kudos

then hurry up and order now BEFORE it drops. For me, it was the kick in the ass I needed to move forward with my latest purchase.

This only works if you have money to gamble on the stock market. Some of us are too poor for that sort of lifestyle... plus you make is sound like the dollar hitting parity is something that happens relatively often, when it usually only occurs when the US economy tanks which doesn't happen often.

Absolutely, no problems at all. You can order right off the site. Please include your shirt size when checking out.

Have a great morning.

Can I order a shotgun from the US site?
I see the Cimarron 1897 is available on the US site.

FWIW, sadly the Amazon card finally "closes" on 15 March 2018, so now there is no longer any other Canadian credit card that charges 0% on FX charges....

There are issues with the Home Trust visa. They have declined people with excellent credit in the past. Now though it seems that they are swamped with applications. I got a we will get back to you in 3-4 weeks email, 2 WEEKS after I applied. Yikes. But there were theories that the recent uptick in Oaken's GIC rates is an attempt to fund these extra card applications. Soooo...who knows?

The Fido/Rogers card is ok but from what I've read, refunds to the card is where you'll get shafted (on the forex charges)

Fido MC charges 2.5% for FX transactions but they offer 4% cash back on FX transactions. Equals out to about 1.5% cashback.

Agree with MikeyScuba. Problem with Fido/Rogers cards are returns/refunds. You lose the 4% cash back and get dinged the 2.5% charge. I used the Amazon card for things like car rental and hotels where either a full charge was made, and later refunded and re-booked when the price got better. With the Fido/Rogers cards, I cannot do that as the 2.5% cost on the "refund" makes it less economically viable.

Hmm good point, I haven't had to return or refund anything that I buy in USD. Especially since refund/returns of items end up costing me almost the cost of the item. But for big ticket things like trips, car rentals and hotels that's where you have to be careful.

Maybe I am just tired but can't seem to figure out this ordering from the US site.
I get the shipping and exchange rates but is that all there is? or is there still a $250 export fee on top of that?
I have an order sitting in my cart and am afraid to pull the trigger on the confirm order button!

If you buy the rifle FROM Irunguns.com's website, then it's the US$ price you see, plus $25 to get it shipped to Canada, plus your Provincial tax plus shipping costs from Edmonton to your door.

If you buy from a 3rd party, and ask irunguns to IMPORT it on your behalf, then it's CA$200 import fee, $25 shipping from US to Edmonton, plus import duty(if applicable) plus your Provincial tax plus shipping cost from Edmonton to your door.

There is NO CA$200 importation charges if bought FROM Irunguns.
