I've fired a few thousand rounds of Barnaul & MFS .223/5.56 ammunition and I have not experienced one faulty round!! Bolt actions and XCR's just gobble it up.

Runs fine in my multiple ARs, just not super accurate in ANY of them. Even worse than Norc surplus... okay for CQB, but I won't trust it to hit 8 inch gongs at 100m.
Is it corrosive?

MFS .223 for my Tavor...no issues. Price is what attracted me as was the case for the original poster.
300 rounds through my T97 of MSF and not one missfire, jam, stovepipe, missfeed or any issues at all.
Can't speak for every gun tho. Lots arn't steel cased friendly. I has a zastava that hated steel case.
Barnaul/mfs. Fantastic! Bolt gun/semi, no issues in 1000 rounds +/-. Pretty accurate also in my opinion
It's quite a read but it's a well written article worth of reading
